Biography
Morgan Burris was crowned Miss Delaware’s Outstanding Teen on Saturday, March 24, 2012.
Morgan attends Aquinas Academy High School and resides with her family in Middletown, Delaware. During her year of service, Morgan will be promoting her platform Adoption - A Loving Option. Morgan and her brother were both adopted as infants and their family has hosted eleven foster siblings over the years.
On a local level, Morgan has joined forces with Birthright of Delaware and with Bethany Christian Adoption Services on a national level. Both of these organizations are amazing resources available to help young women as they are faced with one of the most important decisions of their lives. As a volunteer, Morgan is responsible for connecting local families with the appropriate counselors and researching local resources that best meet the family’s needs. Morgan has created a Facebook page where she shares her thoughts and information about adoption.
Morgan has also partnered with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate Association) a national Child Protective Service that offers to help find loving and supportive homes for foster children. As Miss Delaware’s Outstanding Teen, Morgan is the face representing adoptive families and she is honored to have the opportunity to educate and inform teens of the loving option of adoption.
